Light, strong and safe "titanium"
Each one has a different expression,
For the brilliance of everyone.

We want people who suffer from metal allergies to be able to enjoy our accessories made from safe and reliable pure titanium. With that desire in mind, LÉGER was born in 1997.
We independently developed Japan's first tiny titanium melting furnace, and as we continue to evolve our technology, we continue to create original accessories with designs using titanium, a material that is difficult to process.
Titanium is strong and light, so the brand name is derived from the French word "Leger," which means "light."
We will continue to care for each and every person's skin through products that are both safe and attractive.
SAFETY - Safety and securityWe take metal allergies seriously and provide safe and secure products.
SINCERE - We listen to our customers' thoughts and ideas, incorporate them into our product development, and aim to create problem-solving accessories.
SIMPLE - We offer designs that are elegant and can be worn every day, as well as in a wide range of situations, and can be loved for a long time.
SUSTAINABLE - We contribute to environmental conservation by utilizing titanium, which is sustainable, recyclable, and does not deteriorate indefinitely.
CRAFTSMANSHIP of LÉGER

1) Making a rubber mold
A prototype of the design you have in mind is made out of metal, then coated with silicone rubber and baked to harden it. When the prototype is removed, the "rubber mold" is complete. The process of removing the prototype is delicate and requires skilled craftsmanship.

② Wax removal
Molten wax is poured into a rubber mold and removed once it has hardened. Each piece is carefully checked for burrs and uneven surfaces, and then carefully polished by hand to create the perfect shape.

③Wax tree
The wax is carefully polished down to the finest detail and then attached in a tree-like shape. It is called a "wax tree" because it looks like a tree.

④ Modeling
The wax trees are dipped in a thick, mud-like liquid called "slurry" that they have developed themselves, then covered with fire-resistant sand and left to dry naturally. This process is repeated over several days, with multiple layers being applied.

⑤ Dewaxing
The coated wax tree is placed in a high-pressure steam cooker (autoclave) and the wax is melted and removed, creating a cavity in the same shape as the wax tree.

⑥ Firing
The wax tree is baked at high temperature to complete the mold, which removes moisture and increases its strength.

⑦ Dissolution
We melt titanium in our own small titanium melting furnace, the first of its kind in Japan, and then pour the melted titanium into a mold for casting.

⑧ Disassembly
After cooling, the mold is broken and the castings are separated one by one. This is done by hand, with delicate touch by skilled craftsmen using their fingertips.

⑨Polishing
Unnecessary parts are polished off by hand. After that, various machines are used to polish the hard titanium, and finally the fine details are polished by hand again to give it a smooth texture.

⑩ Inspection
Our staff performs a final check on each product to ensure that it meets our strict standards, and only those that pass are made into products and delivered to customers.

Manufacturing titanium accessories requires special knowledge and skills, and titanium castings are rare worldwide.
Even with the same design, each piece has its own unique expression, with subtle differences depending on the weather and the timing. We hope you enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
